Tong Miao is currently working as an associate professor at Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University. He is a member of the Shanghai Artists Association, director of the Rock Color Painting Studio of the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, and a visiting researcher at the Fine Arts Institute of the Dunhuang Academy.
