” One day, I felt peace and comfort through the foggy deep mountains. While being busy in daily life, I realized that nature’s images could give me these kinds of feelings. I wish not only me but also others could feel it so I expand to work on the Simsan (Deep Mountain) series.

I’ve been thinking about how to bring nature into everyday life, and come to mind of landscape paintings. I tried not only by looking at ink-and-wash images of clouded mountains, but also by actually using and experiencing them. Based on the technique of using margins in landscape painting and the deep perspective method, which is a way to express a deeper mountain through a downward angle, my landscape expression also expressed a deep mountain through margins using resin and a position to face a lower view.

I also wanted to amplify the mountains in layers and its comfort by using fog as medium. In addition to incorporating objects made of composite materials such as resin, cement, and wood, as well as furniture such as tea tables, stools, and benches where the body and mind can rest, I am expanding my work area to incorporate into our lives in various forms. “
